Local authorities agree on Moldovan Liberal Democrats’ appeal

The Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) continues to receive information about the signing of declarations condemning the actions aimed at splitting society and blocking Moldova’s European integration.

According to the PLDM’s press service, on February, 8, the local representatives from Cornova and Boghenii Noi villages, Ungheni district, Opaci village, Causeni district, and those from the Calarasi city council adopted declarations opting for national cohesion, democratic society based on European values, principles and standards.

The above-mentioned declarations are signed by representatives of different political factions from the first and second level – public administration.

The Calarasi councillors firmly condemn the actions of instigation to separatism and enmity between people. They reiterate the commitment to promoting Moldova’s European aspirations.

“We condemn movements causing great misunderstandings in entire society and we strongly believe that the promotion of European aspirations for a safer future of Moldova is a great benefit”, the declaration said.

The local representatives from Boghenii Noi and Cornova villages, Ungheni district, are committed to make every effort to build a European state – Moldova.

On 5 February, PLDM leader Vlad Filat urged the local authorities to approve public statements condemning the actions meant to destabilize the situation and block Moldova’s European path.
