MEPs ready to vote for liberalization of visa regime

The leaders of the political groups of the European Parliament Joseph Daul, Hannes Swoboda and Martin Callanan and the representative of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Graham Watson said they will support the liberalization of the visa regime for Moldova in the next week’s vote in the European Parliament. The announcement was made in a meeting with Head of Parliament Igor Corman, who is in Brussels on a working visit, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from Parliament, the European officials approved of the positive developments in Moldova and expressed interest in developing the parliamentary dialogue, including the cooperation with the parliamentary political groups.

The working visit to Brussels ends on February 19. Igor Corman will also have a meeting with the European Parliament President Martin Schulz.
