Besides the technical quality of the submitted images, their originality and symbolism will also represent important criteria. In addition to photographs, paste-ups and collages will be welcome as well. A jury composed of Embassy representatives will select the winners.
The prize for the winner will be a German language course taught by the cultural center “Accente“, which can be claimed until December 2014. The runner-up will get CDs with German music and the third-best will get a book with images picturing Germany.
The winning images, together with other outstanding pictures, will be displayed by the Embassy at an exhibition dedicated to the German Unity Day. The diplomatic mission will use some of these images for promotion purposes, printing them on postcards or using them to adorn the Embassy's website and FB page.
The submitted images must be 3508 x 2480 pixels in size, at a minimum resolution of 300dpi, and must be printable in A4 format. The pictures must be submitted until 12 September 2014, 12:00PM, by email at info@chisinau.diplo.de, by mail, or can be brought in person to the Embassy on a CD.
