Moldovan diaspora supports Ukraine’s European course

Representatives of 80 associations of the Moldovan diaspora from 27 countries signed a statement in support of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and European integration of Ukraine. The associations called on international organizations, national governments and international civil society to make everything possible not to allow the conflict to extend to Moldova, IPN reports.

The statement says that the associations of the Moldovan diaspora consider the holding of the referendum in Crimea as a violation of the Constitution of Ukraine, while Russia’s acts in Crimea as a serious violation of the international law. The actions of Russia pose a threat not only to Ukraine, but also to peace and security in Europe.

The diaspora condemns the aggressive acts of Russia, aimed against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and expresses its support for the Ukraine people in building a future without threats and constraints.
