​EU to provide 60 m euros for Assotiation Agreement Implementation

The European Union will furnish 60 million euros to help Moldova implement the EU-RM Association Agreement.

The EU believes that the Agreement signature and realization will make Moldova’s political association and economic integration irreversible, the European Commission wrote on its website.

The Commission has also decided to provide 60 million euros to the Republic of Georgia to help it realize its Association Agreement.

Yet another special package to an amount of 365 million euros will be furnished to Ukraine to stabilize situation there.

EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule stated at a meeting of the Visegrad Group (V-4) that “our partners from Eastern Europe deserve a different future, and the European Union is ready to help them”.

That Budapest meeting of foreign ministers in the format of V-4 + Eastern Partnership countries was attended by Moldovan Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Valeriu Chiveri.

He presented priorities in the Moldovan European agenda, touched on the recent Resolution passed by the European Parliament that recognized the European perspective for partner countries meeting the membership criteria.

While in Budapest, Valeriu Chiveri met with Szabolcs Takacs, Deputy State Secretary, Political Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary. The parties discussed priorities of cooperation between the two countries.
