Ambassador Jennifer Brush is completing her duties as Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova. She will be replaced by U.S. diplomat Michael Scanlan. The head of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ana Taban has confirmed for IPN that the Ministry was informed about the new ambassador of the OSCE Mission and that he will come to Moldova soon.
Earlier, Michael Scanlan served as charge d’affaires of the United States in Belarus. He also worked at the U.S. Embassies in the Balkan countries, Ukraine and Russia. In 2002-2004, he worked at a U.S. office for Moldova, Ukraine and Belarus affairs.
The key priority of the OSCE Mission to Moldova is to provide assistance in settling the Transnistrian conflict.
