Not all lakes in Chisinau will be cleaned by start of summer

Until the beginning of summer, employees of the Green Areas Association will remove the mud and reeds only from the lakes from Valea Trandafirilor Park and some of the lakes from La Izvor Park. The company’s head Eliferii Haruta Monday said the works will not be finished on time even with the recently purchased equipment, IPN reports.

Last autumn, the Chisinau Carty Hall bought an amphibian-vehicle for cleaning the municipal lakes for 2.2 million lei. Eliferii Haruta said the vehicle is used daily, but the works are long-lasting as some of the lakes haven’t been cleaned for 30 years.

There are 30 lakes in the municipality of Chisinau. Swimming is possible in only five of them. click
