Russian services to help take away telpher between Rybnista and Rezina

The nonfunctional telpher that connects the towns Rybnitsa and Rezina will be dismantled by the emergency services of Russia, Russian Ambassador to Moldova Farit Muhametshin announced while on a visit to the eastern districts.

Asked by IPN, head of the Reintegration Office George Balan said the Russian authorities didn’t officially inform Chisinau about their intention, but already contacted representatives of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service of Moldova.

The Service’s spokeswoman Liliana Puscasu said that a delegation of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations is expected to come to Chisinau on April 7 to discuss the issue.

The Transnistrian press reported that the works to take the telpher away will start at the end of April or at the beginning of May. Russia will cover all the costs.

The dismantling of the telpher was one of the subjects discussed at the Transnistrian conflict settlement talks in the 5+2 format. The sides were looking for money for the works.
