13 schools to be renovated with WB loan

A number of 13 schools from districts this year will be reconstructed and equipped with a loan provided by the World Bank within the Moldova Education Reform Project. The costs amount to over 90 million lei.

Deputy Minister of Education Igor Grosu has told IPN that by a school will be selected from the 13 districts. They will have the gyms and roofs renovated and the wiring changed and will be thermally insulated. At the first stage, there were identified the design companies that will assess the state of the schools. Afterward, they will calculate the investments in infrastructure for every institution.

The project involves the districts covered by the education reform. The money will be used by the yearend.
