German, French Foreign Ministers to pay a joint visit to Moldova

Moldova enjoys a lot of support from the European Union member states after the country initialed the Association Agreement in November last year.

EU’s Commissioner for Enlargement Štefan Füle and Agriculture Commissioner Dacian Cioloș will arrive in Chisinau on Thursday to participate at the Eastern Partnership Conference of Agriculture Ministers. Several EU ministers will also join the talks.

These are not the only high-level European officials to be welcomed in Moldova in the near future.

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said they will pay a trip to Moldova as part of a joint agenda they have recently agreed upon.

The announcement was made on Tuesday in Paris.

“We have agreed to make our first joint trip to Moldova and Georgia,” the German Foreign Minister said, quoted by Deutsche Welle.

It is still unknown when their visit will take place.
