Noroc wins Women’s Football Cup

Noroc Nimoreni has won Women’s Football Cup of Moldova for the second time. In the final, the team trained by Alina Stetsenko beat Narta Drasliceni 2-1, IPN reports.

Narta opened the score in the 18th minute, but Noroc tied shortly afterward. The goals were scored by Cerescu (26th minute) and Rotaru (34th). The cup and the medals were handed over by the vice president of the Moldovan Football Federation Ion Testemitanu. The final was played in Balti before about 400 spectators.

Founded in 2008, the sports club Noroc won first Moldova’s Cup as well as the championship in 2011. This season, the team from Nimoreni finished the championship on the second place, at a difference of one point from Goleador-Real. Narta ranked fourth.
